Edd Salter

Founder

Edd founded Heronshaw to follow his passion for small businesses. Edd grew up in an entrepreneurial family of farmers and small business owners. As a result of this upbringing, Edd learned the value of, getting your hands dirty, being resourceful, resilient, and building strong relationships - traits which have helped him throughout his career. The name Heronshaw comes from the name of a field (Herons) and a wood (Shaws Wood) on the family farm.

He began his career in engineering, design, and operations, rising to executive level within global FTSE and Nikkei listed companies in the FMCG and capital equipment sectors. His most recent experience has been running SMEs, developing and implementing people - first strategic change that resulted in top and bottom - line growth.

Edd is a Fellow of the IMechE and holds an MEng from Warwick University and an MBA from Cranfield University. He lives in East Sussex with his wife and is the proud father of two young daughters. When not entertaining them, he enjoys restoring his Victorian house, skiing, snowboarding and is a keen squash player.
